Zimbabwe - Stamp Packet

Zimbabwe is a landlocked country in southern Africa located in between Mozambique and Botswana. The Zambezi River also flows through this land, and a spectacular view of Victoria Falls is a popular attraction. The country was once part of Rhodesia, but gained independence from the British in 1980. That is the year in which its postal history begins. The country has had a turbulent political history and continuing difficulties with poverty and disease. The economy of Zimbabwe largely depends on mineral exports and trading with South Africa.
