Vatican City - Stamp Packet

Vatican City was established in 1929. It is a sovereign city-state within Rome, Italy. From this city the affairs of the Catholic Church are run, and it is also the home of the Pope. The Vatican post office has operated its own postal service and issued its own postage stamps since 1929. The Vatican is also a part of the UPU and has an agreement with Italy for routing its mail through Rome.
