Surinam - Stamp Packet

Suriname is a country on the north-eastern coast of South America that borders Brazil and Guyana, which was once a Dutch colony. The Amazonian rainforest and jungle is a popular tourist attraction. Suriname has issued stamps since 1873, mostly with Dutch monarchs being featured. Full independence was gained in 1975 and this marked the beginning of modern Suriname's stamp issues with more local themes.
