Saudi Arabia is a middle eastern country located between the Red Sea and the Persian gulf. It is home to the two holiest places in Islam, Mecca and Medina. It is the largest Arab country in the Middle East. It is a rich country, with most of its exports involving oil and oil products. Once made up of different Arab kingdoms, the area united as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1932 and issued stamps. The first stamps issued with the words "Saudi Arabia" on them came out in 1934.
