(PB-SET)
This is a spectacularly rare matched set of plate blocks with inscriptions of the very scarce February 1990 reprint of the 39¢ QEII definitive with perforations of 13.1 x 12.7!
Almost every sheet of this variety was issued without inscriptions, i.e. with blank corner blocks. These are scarce and valued at $125 in the catalogue. However, in a footnote, it states that proper plate blocks with inscriptions also do exist and are valued at a humongous amount of $1,250 per block!
Throughout the years, we had never seen before a single plate block with inscriptions of this stamp, which is a true testament to their scarcity! Therefore, this complete matched set is nothing short of spectacular (cv. $5,000)!
