The Granby Zoo, the largest zoo in Quebec, celebrated its 50th anniversary. Founded by Pierre-Horace Boivin, this zoo has long enjoyed the respect of the national and international zoological community for its superior, innovative programs as well as for its many achievements in the fields of conservation and research. Young and old alike always enjoy visiting the 800 or so specimens of more than 200 species, mostly exotic, housed by the Granby Zoo in an environment respectful of nature and the animals.
