Used - Very Fine - Re-Entry ''"Missing Right Frame Line" (#28ii) (U-VF-051)
Beautiful, used, very fine & lightly cancelled. This variety consists of a partially missing outer frame line of the right side value tablet. The variety has been mentioned in philatelic literature for more than fifty years but has not been plated with any certainty, although various writers have assigned it to positions 62 and 66. This copy also features a fairly prominent dot in the leftmost "2" value that is not recorded with this variety. It’s believed that this variety was caused by a weak area of the engraving that exists on the transfer role and manifests itself at more than one plate position depending on how deep the transfer roll is rocked in. The Unitrade catalogue lists this variety along with the "missing left frame line" variety shown earlier as #28ii.

Used - Fine - Re-Entry "Missing Left Frame Line" (#28ii) (U-F-052)
Very fresh, fine+ with almost no postmark. This variety is noted for a missing outer frame line at the left side value tablet. While this is the most dominant feature, there are actually a number of elements missing or cut-off along the entire left side of the design. Most of the frame line to the left of the word "TWELVE" is also missing. The variety has been mentioned in the philatelic literature for almost a century and has been noted on proofs. There is a general consensus that it can be plated to position 67, although the evidence for this is uncertain. The variety probably occurred when the plate was originally laid down due to a faulty transfer or short entry. The Unitrade catalogue lists variety as #28ii.
