Canada Stamp #14 - Queen Victoria (1859) 1¢

Scarce major re-entry from position 58 showing a doubled frameline, especially prominent on the lower left side (see our close-up scans) with a fresh colour, great centring, beautiful perforations, a light grid cancellation and the whole certified by Vincent Graves Greene! This variety is listed, but as of yet, still unpriced in the catalogue, because its scarcity has not yet been fully established. However, based on similar re-entries (#14iv, #14v & #14vi), we would estimate its value to be at least $500!

Superb fresh colour, nicely centred and perforated for this issue with a good portion of original gum and a scarcer perforation of 11¾, certified by Vincent Graves Greene.

Lovely fresh mint example with a full original gum in very beautiful condition and lightly hinged, a scarce stamp in this condition!

Fresh copy, nicely perforated with deep rose shade, perforations of 11¾ and a very light four-ring numeral cancellation (possibly #41, Sandwich, RF 8/10).
