Diamond Jubilee Presentation Booklet - Showpiece Very Rare

Very limited Canadian Diamond Jubilee Postage Stamp Album. Jim Sissons described this as "probably the first souvenir booklet made in Canada ... for sale to the trade, fly leaf inside "ALBUM / Jubilee Postage Stamps / Issued June 1897 / Ottawa James Hope & Sons" containing the 1897 Jubilee set to the 50c, 1898 Map issues (3 shades), 1908 Quebec Tercentenary set to 20c, 1917 & 1927 3c Confederation and 1c Jubilee postal card; stamps mint hinged on pages, some partially adhered to page. An exceedingly rare item, the second we recall seeing. This prestigious album formerly belonged to large collections of fame, including the J. R. Barraclough collection and the Harvey Poole collection.
